Community and Charity
Every two years we select a local charity to be the recipient of our charity bursary.
In addition to receiving a cash donation, we seek to maximise the charity partnership through providing mall space and opportunities for colleagues to engage and support in volunteering, fundraising activities and events.
Our charity bursary partner for 2023 & 2024 is Birmingham Mind.
Birmingham Mind is the largest charitable provider of mental health services in Birmingham. Birmingham Mind work closely with NHS partners, to deliver a range of mental health support services, which includes residential care, supported accommodation, support at home, four community Recovery Hubs, two Crisis Cafes and a 24/7 Helpline.
You can find out more about Birmingham Mind here: birminghammind.org/ This charity partnership is in place until December 2024.
Bullring & Grand Central Charity Partner Bursary Scheme
The Hammerson Charity Partner Bursary Scheme is set up to support charities that undertake vital work within the local community. Each year, we invite local charities to apply for a bursary where, following a review, shortlisting and vote process, the successful charity will receive £5,000 in funding. In exceptional circumstances, we may choose to partner with two local charities, who will each receive £2,500. Applications are open now and will close on Friday 21 March 2025. The successful charity will be informed by 1 April 2025.
